Julie is Speaking at TechFuse on April 21: “EQ–Another Way of Being Smart”

The 8th Annual TechFuse Minneapolis Conference is scheduled for April 21 at the Minneapolis Convention Center!

The 8th Annual TechFuse Minneapolis will feature tools, skills and processes in the field of computer technology that can enhance a wide variety of job roles. Sessions at TechFuse Minneapolis are designed to present intellectually stimulating topics that are at the forefront of the technology industry in 1.25 hour sessions.

Julie will be presenting her breakout session, “Another Way of Being Smart.”

Emotional intelligence (EQ) is about using the wisdom of emotion as a source of information, motivation and connection. It’s another way of being smart! Unlike an IQ, which is fixed, EQ can be developed and improved over time. The good news is that individuals can become more intelligent as they age. In our personal and professional relationships, listening, observing and being able to accurately identify emotions as they happen are important elements of EQ. They lead to an enhanced ability to influence others, make wise decisions and handle stress. By attending this session, you will be presented with the basis of emotional intelligence, take time to recognize the core EQ competencies and skills in your own life, especially as they impact relationships, decisions and stressors, and focus on specific ways to practice and improve your EQ.
